Our Story

Daniel Preuss Jr and his brother started Top Notch Torque (TNT) in 2014 after spending years working in the oil and gas industry.

They were passionate about great customer service and quality work and wanted to build a local company with an excellent reputation. As TNT grew, their parents Dan Sr. and Annette Preuss joined the company, and it became a truly "top notch" family run business.

Today we have a full fleet of trucks and trailers and valued employees operating in Western Canada, and we continue to grow!

Health & Safety

Our team at Top Notch Torque is dedicated to ensuring the health and safety of colleagues, clients, contractors, visitors and the public.

We've developed and continue to maintain an extensive and proactive Environmental, Health, and Safety program backed by a strong management presence within our worksites to ensure the wellness of all operations, both fixed and mobile.

Our management team is committed to ensuring our workers have top of the line tools and equipment needed to get the job done right, efficiently and safely.

We comply with all Provincial and Federal Occupational Health and Safety legislation and standards. Management fully participates with our internal HSE, Quality Control and Maintenance programs. We’re in good standing with WorkSafe BC and WCB.

Top Notch Torque has been a member of the Partners in Injury Reduction program since opening in 2014 and has maintained a Certificate of Recognition with high achieving scores in both Alberta and British Columbia.

Apprenticeship Program

At Top Notch Torque, we believe in investing in our team's growth and the future of our industry. That's why we've recently created a working relationship with the Alberta Apprenticeship Board to register all our employees as apprentices. This initiative offers additional opportunities for our staff to enhance their skills and advance their careers.

Apprentices have the support of a journeyman or mentor who provides guidance and hands-on training. Together, they're working towards completing their apprenticeship hours, gaining valuable knowledge and practical experience along the way.

We're proud of this learning environment that not only benefits our employees but also improves the quality of service we offer our clients. By empowering our team through education and mentorship, we're building a stronger, more skilled workforce committed to excellence.
